Information on differentia
In the original Cantus index for this manuscript, differentiae were identified with a two-digit system: the letter indicated the last note of each differentia and a number distinguished between differentiae of the same mode that ended on the same last note. Variations in repeated notes, neumation, and liquescents were indicated by a lower-case letter suffix.
